Beginning of the works of

The arrangement of this new 20 hectare eco-district enters its operational phase. Demolition works began on the site of the École Centrale(French engineering school) located near the park of Seals.

This new district will be called "LaVallée": in reference to Alphonse Lavallée who created the École Centrale.
LaVallée will be a mixed and livened up district, with 2200 housing of every types, numerous public equipments (day-nursery, schools, middle school and gymnasium), 15 000m ² of stores, 40 000m ² of offices and vegetated public places.

The constructions will join the "big landscape" of the Park of Seals; the green spaces will have a dominating place and, the soft connections will be favored. This operation emphasizes its exceptional situation and meets the requirements of a well-balanced and sustainable town planning. LaVallée intends to pursue an approach of labelling Ecodistrict and Biodivercity Ready.

Numerous initiatives of innovation structure this project on which the teams of Eiffage Aménagement and the Direction of the sustainable development and the cross-functional innovation closely collaborated: circular Economy, district low carbon, urban agriculture, new practices appear among the reflections integrated into the conception of this new district.

The eco-district will be finished in 2024.
