Eiffage unveils the future International City of Gastronomy and Wine in Dijon

The official presentation of the main partners of the future International City of Gastronomy and Wine in Dijon took place on 21 March, in the presence of F. Hollande, President of the Republic, F. Rebsamen, President of the Grand Dijon, B. de Ruffray, Chief Executive Officer of Eiffage, O. Genis, President of Eiffage Construction, J. Delaine, Director of Eiffage Construction Grand-Est and N. Gravit, Director of Eiffage Aménagement.

The unveiling ceremony of the main partners of the operation was held before several hundred economic, tourist and cultural actors of the region.

One year after the official launch on February 2, 2016, the work of this major project, designed by Eiffage Aménagement, will begin on the site of the former Dijon General Hospital. Delivery of the first elements of the City will take place in 2019.
 

 

The strategic orientation committee, which will guarantee the quality of the cultural content proposed at the Cité, is chaired by:

  • Jocelyne Pérard, Director of the Unesco Chair "Culture and Traditions of Wine" of the University of Burgundy, the only Unesco Chair in the world specializing in wine;
  • Éric Pras, head of the Maison Lameloise de Chagny, 3 Michelin stars.

The cultural center will be entrusted to S-Pass, specialist in the management of large cultural facilities; The agency Abaque will be in charge of creating the museographic route of the City.

The training center will bring together the school of gastronomy Ferrandi Paris, flagship of the training to the trades of gastronomy, and the school of wines of the Interprofessional Bureau of Burgundy wines (BIVB).

The Naos Group will open a luxury 4-star hotel with 125 rooms under the Curio by Hilton brand, with only 38 prestigious establishments in the world.

The Librairie gourmande de Paris, the oldest and most important specialized bookstore in the world, will be located in the Culture Center of the City.

Crédit Agricole will create a "Village by CA" dedicated to innovation in the agri-food sector, a great showcase especially for the Vitagora competitiveness cluster and Foodtech Dijon Bourgogne Franche-Comté.
