The initiative UrbAgri, the conception and animation of a kitchen garden on the terraces of the future co-ownership « L’Imprimerie » realized by Eiffage Construction and Eiffage Immobilier, was greeted by the jury of the 2nd edition of the competition ParisCulteurs.
The competition Parisculteurs was created by the city of Paris and its partner companies within the framework of the operation " Objective 100 hectares ". It aims at mobilizing for vegetate any 100 hectares of built before 2020 in the capital, of which a third dedicated to the urban agriculture. The competition rewards the initiatives of urban agriculture and revegetation on roofs, facades and walls. These initiatives will afterward be developed by the partner companies.
Last year, 32 multidisciplinary teams were recognized among 144 candidate projects.This year, the project « An urban farm on your building » carried by the start-up UrbAgri and developed in association with Eiffage Construction and Eiffage Immobilier on the site of the Printing office in the 14th district of Paris, is a part of 33 prize-winners.
This real estate program will offer in 2019, a kitchen garden on two terraces with 2 not warmed greenhouses, for a surface of 465m ². The tubs of plantation planned for the productions will be installed by Eiffage Construction with 40 cms of earth.
The residents can, by a system of subscription, cultivate their plot of land or come simply to collect the varieties of their choice the care of which will have been confided to Urbagri. Workshops for the children and the adults will be also proposed, as well as the implementation of a composting of the household waste of the residence.
