Joia new eco-responsible living localisation is establishing in the ZAC MERIDIA, It is located near the Nice Côte d’Azur’s international airport. The future neighbourhood, which the foundation stone has been laid on the 1st of July with the presence of Nice’s Mayor, Christian Estrosi, will contain multiple shops and entertainment areas. It will also contain all the usage of sustainable town, with the respect of sustainable development principles gathering all the amenities for the well-being of the future inhabitants. Joia is targeting the Low-Carbon label, a distinction attributed to the buildings that have a low carbon imprint to accelerate city’s sustainable transition.
The Pitch Promotion’s team and Eiffage Immobilier has been designated, In December 2017, winners of call for projects ZAC MERIDIA with their project intituled “Joia Meridia” think in collaboration with a team of 7 architects.
The ZAC programme is planning the realisation of approximately 347000m² of floor surface, which are dispatch the following way:
- 780 housings (35% of which are social renting, 5% social accession and 60% of renting and free accession)
- 58000m² of office spaces
- 38000m² of laboratory and research spaces
- 17000m² of hostels and convenience store and shops spaces
- 21000m² of activities
- 36000m² of amenities (university buildings and state learning campus)
